Taxes done
Is it only me, or does it strike you as funny that I finish my tax returns on April Fool’s Day?

Dear LC,
Not at all sure why/what is funny in this musing:
a) doing the return or
b) the existence of taxes or
c) April Fool’s day or
d) A combination of some, or all of them.
I recently retired from a career of 40 years of paying taxes (being blessed to having to pay lots of it every year) and now realise that even in retirement - there is no escaping from any, some or all of the above. It’s like breathing - you just have to partake, and I suggest you just buckle down and Do It! I am told - they even get you after death - not there as yet though.
That only goes to prove that there must be truth in the saying that there is life after death.
